PRIVATE CABINS
Our four private and beautifully appointed cabins each represent a value that is dear to the team at Lower Lila Retreat. Choose your stay with the room and value that resonates for you or leave it in our capable hands to assign a cabin for you.

The cabins are completely ‘off grid’ so there’s no TV, no mobile phone service or internet. We are happy to share our beautiful paradise – full of peace and serenity, a time to enjoy the bush, with family and friends, reading, playing cards, painting, bush walking or kayaking.
Lower Lila Retreat is a beautiful place to connect with nature and reset from the chaos of everyday life. We have purposefully spaced the cabins apart for your privacy and comfort.
Each cabin is self-contained and can accommodate 4 people comfortably and up to 6 guests (with a sofa bed).

Lower Lila Retreat has non-powered caravan and camp sites available for travellers. When you’re staying with us, you become part of our ‘community’ which is another of our special values. All our caravan and camp sites have access to showers, toilets and our large community camp kitchen.

Lower Lila retreat is a beautiful place for Weddings, private functions, meetings, family and friend gatherings.
Unpowered caravan and camp sites are $35 per night.
Powered caravan and camp sites are $45 per night.
Our fantastic facility has a large, and well-appointed community camp kitchen that is available to all our guests.
It’s a beautiful space that can be reserved and adapted for private functions – weddings, birthdays and celebrations!
We have also had group meetings, family and friend gatherings and special occasions celebrated here – just let us know what you need and we’ll organise it for you.

How many people can Lower Lila Retreat accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 30 people in total at Lower Lila Retreat. This includes guests staying in all cabins and second bedrooms at the nearby Shearing Shed. -
Do I need to book a cabin before coming to Lower Lila Retreat?
Only if you would like to book one of our cabins, then bookings are essential before arriving at Lower Lila Retreat. A 10% holding deposit must be paid prior to arrival and the balance on arrival. -
I have a caravan or camper, do I need to book?
No, caravan and camp sites do not require a booking. There is 8kms of river frontage where you can choose to set up. -
Can I have a wedding or a special event at Lower Lila Retreat?
Yes! Our location and premises offer a beautiful setting for weddings, private functions, meetings and retreats. It’s also a perfect spot for annual gatherings and getaways for family & friends. -
Can children come to Lower Lila Retreat?
Our premises are not suitable for children under the age of 4 years, due to the extensive river frontage. Families and children love coming to Lower Lila Retreat for the outdoor experience. -
Do I need to bring my own food and drinks to Lower Lila Retreat?
Yes, you need to bring your own food, BYO alcohol and drinks. If you are attending a women’s retreat or have made arrangements for us to cater for you, then there is no need to bring food. Please note there are no shops nearby. -
Can I ride a motorbike or 4 wheel drive on the property?
Unfortunately, no motor bikes or 4 wheel driving is allowed at Lower Lila Retreat for the safety of our guests, pets and local wildlife. -
Is there a washing machine I can use at the property?
There is no washing machine available to guests, so please be sure to pack enough clothing for your entire stay. -
Are pets allowed at Lower Lila Retreat?
Pets are only allowed if caravaning or camping. They must be restrained at all times to respect other guests and our livestock. No pets allowed in the community kitchen or cabins. -
Can I smoke at Lower Lila Retreat?
Smoking is prohibited in our cabins and community kitchen. -
Can we party all night long at Lower Lila Retreat?
Unfortunately, if you’re a party animal, Lower Lila Retreat is not the place for you. It is a peaceful retreat where we respect each other’s privacy. -
Can I get picked up from the nearest airport?
Yes, we can arrange to collect and return you to Bourke airport. This needs to be advised at the time of booking or at least one week before your arrival. Additional fee applies.
